This video is loosely based on Daniel Yergin’s book The New Map: Energy, Security and the Clash of Nations about the energy system, with some topical and relevant references to present day. The music is the intro the anime Cowboy Bebop, Tank.

It was edited in Blender on a machine running Debian GNU/Linux.
