My name is Joar Alexander Pablo von Arndt. I am a European from Stockholm, Sweden, the child of a journalist and a visual artist, and currently a full-time student doing my bachelors. I am studying political science at the Swedish Defence University, a unique blend between a civilian university and a military college.

As a child I dreamed of becoming a theoretical particle physicist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and so have long had an interest in the hard sciences. I went to a technical high school where I was largely introduced to computer programming and begun “daily-driving” GNU/Linux. I considered studying at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology, but decided not to.

I am interested in lisp programming, GNU Emacs, free (as in freedom) software, political economy, and the philosophy of life in an increasingly technical world. I am a Georgist and an Ellulian.
